Christmas baking

It is the time of year to bake special Christmas cookies. I even had help with the sugar cookies.

Today I made peppermint cookies with my new special gift - an apron.

We moved our old piano that was really broken out of the basement with four guys.

We think we should start a new piano moving company!!

Harvest

It is harvest time and some of the grandchildren got the opportunity to ride on the combine.

The grains are all done and soybeans left to combine.

The grasshoppers are really hungry this time of year, since the crops are harvested, they turn to different growth!!!

Shop till you drop

While Elise knows all about it. On a recent three day vacation in Grand Forks, Elise was so tired out that we could not wake her in the shopping cart.

Special memories with Mom

My sister Rita, mom & I went to Leavenworth for a few days. We enjoyed two great musicals and spent time brousing shops and walks and talks and eating!

It was a great week at the cabin. Very hot the first half and then it cooled down.

We did alot of water sports. Had the annual balloon game, made roll kuchen on a cool day, played games and read.

Strawberry season

Eric and I went at 8:00 a.m. and picked 7 pails of strawberries in one hour.

Nice tasting. Now to make some freezer jam and strawberry pie, maybe for Sunday!!!

New Deck

New deck is almost done.

On a very hot Saturday - Chris came to help Eric in the morning and Jonathan with Aaron came to help in the afternoon.

The water lilies are blooming. The picture is blurry as it is so extremely hot and humid out - 33 degrees, but my camera kept fogging up and so did my glasses.
I guess we have our house nice and cool, so makes a big difference. Love the day, but actually keeping inside this afternoon.
Had grandkids outside most of the morning in a kiddie pool.
